How Lineside collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

Lineside Industrial Automation (“Lineside”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through linesideautomation.com, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to align with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and, for United States visitors, applicable state privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. It should be read together with our Cookie Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us and limited technical data:

  • Information you submit through our contact form or tool-download form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and any message you include.
  • Technical and usage data collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you reached the site. See our Cookie Policy for detail.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, health, or biometric data) through this website, and we ask that you not submit it through our forms.

Categories of Personal Information (US state-law disclosure)

In the past 12 months we may have collected these categories of personal information, as defined by the CCPA/CPRA: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); internet or network activity (browsing and interaction data via cookies); and geolocation (approximate, from IP address). We collect this from you directly and automatically from your device. We do not collect the categories of sensitive personal information defined by the CPRA.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, send the resources you request, provide and improve our services, and follow up about relevant automation and controls work. We use technical data to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the website. We do not sell your personal information for money.

Legal Bases and Consent (PIPEDA / CASL)

We rely on your consent to collect and use personal information for the purposes described above, and to set non-essential cookies. Where we send commercial electronic messages, we do so only with your consent (express or implied as permitted by CASL) and include a clear unsubscribe mechanism in every message. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying to any message or contacting us using the details below; we will stop sending commercial messages, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.

How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the website and communicate with you, and only to the extent they need it to perform that service. These include our website host, content-delivery and security provider (Cloudflare), analytics provider (Google), and email delivery provider. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising except as may occur through analytics/advertising cookies you have consented to.

International Data Transfers

We are based in Canada. Some of our service providers (including Google and Cloudflare) may store or process data on servers in the United States or other countries. Where personal information is transferred outside your jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of those countries; we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, then securely delete or anonymize it. Contact and tool-request submissions are retained for the duration of our business relationship and a reasonable period afterward; analytics data is retained per our analytics provider’s settings.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights (Canada)

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information).

Your Privacy Rights (US States)

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Utah), you may have the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” and of targeted advertising, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of analytics/advertising cookies, reject non-essential cookies in our banner or enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honour where required. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below; you may use an authorized agent where permitted, and we will verify requests before acting.

Children's Privacy

This is a business-to-business website intended for professional audiences. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where required, we will seek renewed consent.
